Mick Payne   , Coaching Director
London, England, UK

Mick is a qualified English FA (Football Association) full badge holder and the official England “C” goalkeeping coach. Mick has worked with the English FA and London FA running various courses on numerous occasions. He also played for Chelsea and various non-league clubs. For three very successful years he was the head soccer coach at the University of Alabama at which time he also served as an advisor to the U.S. Olympic Development Program. Mick has an excellent reputation for his coaching ability and many of his goalkeepers have gone onto achieve outstanding results; he has coached and worked with the best: Bob Wilson (Arsenal and Scotland), Pat Jennings (Northern Ireland), Hans Segers (Holland), Ian Walker (Bolton and England), Tony Roberts (Dagenham & Redbridge and Wales), Rachael Brown (England Ladies) and Chris Day (Millwall and England).

Mick also heads up The Art of Saving with Mick Payne — a goalkeeping academy that has provided courses in the South East of England for the past eighteen years. Around 170 keepers attend his course each year.

Paul Mellings   , Coaching Director
Manchester, England, UK

Paul is a “B” license badge holder and works with goalkeepers from 7–16 years old within the Manchester United Academy department. He is involved in the development of the goalkeepers so they can realize their goals and dreams: to play for the one of the most famous Soccer Clubs in the world. A serious knee injury prevented Paul from a professional career while in college so he redirected his passion to being a very knowledgeable, innovative coach. Paul has coached within the United States before, delivering fun and enjoyable camps while promoting a solid, hard-working learning environment. When not working at Manchester United, Paul coaches at the highest non-league level, working with the Stafford Rangers. He has coached with some outstanding goalkeepers that are now ready to go onto a higher level: Ben Amos (Manchester United and England U18), Gary Woods (Manchester United and England U16), Scott Loach (Watford and England U19), Danny Alcock (Stafford Rangers and England “C”) and Stuart Brock (Aston Villa).

Jack Lisco

, Academy Director
Cranberry Township, PA, USA

Jack has over 10 years of experience in coaching soccer. He has coached recreation and school teams in Colorado and Pittsburgh. He is currently the soccer coordinator for St. Kilian Parish School in Cranberry Township, PA where he is also head coach of the St. Kilian junior varsity team. He also serves as head coach for the varsity soccer team for St. Alexis School in Wexford, PA. Both schools are in the Diocese of Pittsburgh Soccer League. Two of Jack’s daughters are keepers so he became interested in ways in which he could help them perfect their skills. Elite Goalkeeping Academy was born out of an international friendship with Paul Mellings and Mick Payne with the goal of improving goalkeeping skills in Western PA. Jack’s passion mirrors that of Mick and Paul who both have a genuine interest in the EGA keepers. Their goal is to develop the kids and train them throughout their goalkeeping career ... from youth to high school and beyond. With such interest, it is easy to see why this camp is so different and unique.

I learned a lot of new keeper skills. This camp not only makes you a better goalkeeper but it also boosts your confidence. Mick and Paul are awesome!
